I don't understand how citizen, a really active site, gets thrown out and lilsugar is still up. No one posts there. I can't believe I have to look at such crap to find the news stories. Are they trying to bankrupt their company?

GS - I think LilSugar just fits in better with their "light" format. Plus they probably get more advert dollars from people trying to reach young Moms versus, well, I mean, what advertiser would take citizensugar seriously, ya know?

But it sucks. However, we will all now get better grades, get promoted, develop better hobbies! Hey I even showered earlier today with all my new free time!

IMO this is a roundabout way to kill off Citizen, because it probably requires more research and expertise (i.e., paid staff time) than the other sections.

Yeah, that's why I am confused. Citizen and Dear posts frequently get like 100 comments. I know I'm more likely to comment on a Citizen Post than, say, a Casa or Yum post just because there's less to say, even if I'm enjoying reading it, but that's still gotta be a ton of page views.

I dont know why they couldnt have just had a freelancer do it. I know Zoe (the real CitizenSugar) was a freelance writer, but I thought she was employed fulltime by Sugar Inc.

So why not get a contract person, dont pay them benefits and they can still have someone dedicated to doing the work?

Actually, something does smell. It just ain't haus. It's Sugar. How on Earth did they make this decision? Market research? Is there a group of users that are sworn to secrecy over this because they did a trial test of Tres? Sigh.
