ANYTHING chocolate!

I have to say Halloween is always about Reese's Peanut Butter Cups... I rarely, if ever, have them at any other time of the year. I think it's because my Mom gave them out when we were kids... plus even the packaging screams Halloween!

Candy Corn!!!

Can you believe they make candy corn for every holiday now?!? No good! Just like Peeps!

but especially candy corn. i'm a traditionalist, so i refuse to eat candy corn any other time than october, so that has to be my favorite. i'll only eat peeps and jellybeans in the spring too. i hate how all these have become year-round treats.

maybe i should do a study on these things becoming year-round and the obesity rate.

For me it's cadbury eggs for easter, candy corn for Halloween, and chocolate covered cherries and/or those strawberry candies at Christmas. I don't eat candy at Thanksgiving apparently. LOL

Do you guys eat them like i do? First i bite off the white bit, then i bite off the orange, last comes yellow! I never pop the whole thing in my mouth at once, probably a bit odd, but oh well!

Oh me too! Except it's Peeps and Cadbury Eggs at Easter. I only eat Peeps at Easter even though you can pretty much get them on any holiday.

I eat them the other way brook... yellow, orange, then white. The white part tastes the best to me... yeah, I'm a weirdo.

I used to love Jersey Milk, but it tastes different now. I'm a chocolate person though (p.s. there's a chocolate festival in Toronto this weekend! I'm ridiculously excited!). Caramilk, M&MS (but not Smarties), Coffee Crisp, KitKat, etc. I looooove Ritter Sport the most though.

I wish I was at work right now so I could get chocolate... We have a vending machine with subsidized chocolate bars (50 cents).

Dorothy...I have a question. My other Canadian friend insists that Smarties in Canada are like M&M's....little bits of chocolate covered in a hard candy shell. Is that true?

I always eat my color sectioned candies by section! So gummy worms, M&M's, Skittles, Smarties, all of them.

Zeze - it's dangerous! All candy/chocolate/chips is 50 cents so it can turn into a really bad lunch habit.

Blue - I guess it's the same concept, but the chocolate and the coating taste completely different to me. I've always had this weird thing against Smarties and I don't know where it comes from. I hate them. Are they different in the States?

On the weird sorting/eating candy behaviors - I sort everything. I'm so neurotic. All candy with multiple colours must be eaten by colour (M&Ms, Skittles, Starbursts, etc.). I always eat the brown M&Ms last too. I also eat dinner in groups of food - I cannot mix them.

I almost always eat my veggies first. Then the starch (potato, orzo, couscous), then the protein.

Me too sarah! I can't stand my food touching each other on my plate! My parents have always made fun about me over that, but really... I don't want the pot roast touching the mashed potatoes, damn it!

Oh and I eat my food in the same order lol. The only thing I'll mix is mashed potatoes and corn. I have square plates now which makes separating my food super easy.

Wow; I missed a fun conversation. My favorite candy for Halloween has to be candy corn! It is also my favorite decoration. (I have a candy-corn shaped candy dish, a wreath with wooden candy corn, etc.)

My favorite overall candy is Take 5! Each one is like a little piece of heaven.

Oh, and I also separate my colored candy, but it's because I want to eat it equitably. Like I will eat one red, one yellow, etc.

My favorite non-U.S. candies are Kinder Eggs and Cadbury Flake! I get Flake at World Market sometimes, but I cannot find Kinder Eggs in the U.S. Someone told me it's because you can't legally sell a toy inside candy here, but who knows if that's true. I can find Kinder brand chocolates, but not the eggs!

take 5 bars are also amazing. i haven't seen one in ages though, i don't think my grocery store carries them anymore

sarah - well, if we ever have a Sugar girls meet up, we'll know to have everything divided and sectioned and so on.

I can always find the full size Take 5's, but never the bags of fun size ones.
