At the end of August, my boyfriend and I will be traveling to Boston for some good old fashioned sightseeing! I've been using what little downtime I have researching for things to do/see, but I figured I might as well ask my trusty Sugars for some advice!
For those of you who have been to or live(d) in Boston, what were some of your favourite things to do and see?
We'll driving down from Southern Ontario (it'll be a nice roadtrip in my brand new Rabbit! Just bought it today!) We're going to be going for 5 days and 4 nights.
My short list of things to do includes:
- Harvard and the Harvard Natural History Museum
- Freedom Trail
- Fenway Park tour
- Haunted Boston tour
- Harbour cruise
- Ferry to Provincetown
- Red Sox game (they're playing the Yankees when we're going to be there, so chances are we won't be able to find decently-priced scalped tickets)
- New England Aquarium
- MIT Museum (boyfriend wants to see robots)
- Salem
Any other suggestions? We're basically flying blind on this trip so any help is appreciated

A Red Sox/ Yankee game is about the 'hottest tickets" in baseball, next to a World Series. Any "scalpped" tickets will cost you a small fortune.
1Ya we figured as much. I'm not overly concerned about seeing a game, but I know he'd like to. I'm really more of a hockey girl. A Bruins-Canadiens game would be much higher on my priority list
I think he'll have to settle for a tour of Fenway.
2Ptown is beautiful!
The MFA and the Aquirium were my favorites.
For shopping you can head to the Prudential center or Newbury street.
3Faneuil Hall is nice and its right near the aquarium. Newbury Street is really pretty as well.
4I know I'm a little late, but go on a Duck Tour!!
